Honored to speak at a webinar on “Trustworthy AI” organized by the Student Association of Information Systems at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Jakarta, attended by more than 50 participants from both academic and public backgrounds. The session, titled “Foundations of Data Science in Trustworthy AI,” explored the importance of building AI systems that are not only accurate but also fair, transparent, secure, and accountable. The discussion highlighted the role of Data Science as a fundamental component in developing responsible AI, covering the challenges of AI in industry, the growing need for Trustworthy AI, and the importance of building reliable AI pipelines. Participants were encouraged to strengthen their understanding of Data Science and AI while considering ethical principles, transparency, and real-world industry needs. The session concluded by emphasizing that the future of AI will not only be determined by how advanced the technology becomes, but also by how much trust it can earn from users, organizations, and society.
